Important: Candl is not a job board, recruitment service, or employment agency. We do not match users with jobs or employers.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Candl. By using the platform, you confirm that:

• You are 16 or older
• You are legally allowed to enter into this agreement
• You will use Candl only for personal and lawful purposes

3. Creating and Managing an Account

To access Candl’s full features, you must register using email and password or Google OAuth.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Keep your login credentials secure
• Not share your account with others
• Notify us of unauthorized use or breaches

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Your Responsibilities

You may only use Candl for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

• Post or upload false, harmful, or misleading content
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform
• Try to access other users’ data
• Copy, resell, or reverse-engineer any part of Candl
• Use the platform to build or train competing tools

5. Use of AI and Generated Content

Candl uses third-party AI systems to generate content based on your input. This may include interview questions, summaries, reflections, or preparation guidance.

By using these features, you understand and agree that:

• AI outputs are generated based on patterns and may not always be accurate
• These outputs are meant for guidance, not final decision-making
• You are solely responsible for how you use the insights generated
• We may store these outputs to improve your user experience and for internal analytics

You retain full control over whether you want to keep, download, or delete this content.

6. Intellectual Property

The Candl platform, including its design, features, branding, and content (excluding your uploads), belongs to us or our licensors.

You own:

• The personal information and content you provide
• Any files you upload (e.g., CVs)
• The content generated specifically for your use

You may not:

• Use Candl branding without permission
• Copy or reuse any part of the platform for commercial purposes

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or delete accounts that:

• Violate these Terms
• Pose a security or legal risk
• Are inactive for an extended period (with prior notice)

After account deletion, we retain your personal data only as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

Candl is offered “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that:

• The platform will be error-free or always available
• The insights will be perfectly accurate or complete
• Use of Candl will result in job offers or promotions

We are not liable for:

• Any decisions made based on AI-generated suggestions
• Any loss or damage resulting from your use of the platform

We encourage users to apply independent judgment and critical thinking when using the content provided.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Candl and its team will not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, career opportunities, or earnings
• Errors in AI-generated content

Our total liability for any claim will be limited to the amount you paid (if any) in the 12 months prior to the issue.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. When we do, we’ll notify users via the app or email. Continuing to use Candl means you accept the new version.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and Portugal, unless local law in your country requires otherwise.
